Tali Roth Clothing Vs Tali Roth Interiors: MY STORY

When I was 21 years old, I was about to begin my honors in psychology. I only had a very light work load for the first semester so with some encouragement from my parents, I made a range of 12 dresses and took them to stores in Sydney and Melbourne to sell. I had no prior knowledge of the industry or any contacts. The range was well recieved and after the second season, I was also selling in other states throughout Austtalia. The clothes were often picked up for press and I had a loyal following. Due to a few factors, mainly cost of production in Australia and small retail stores closing down, I had to wind down the business. I was completely unsure of the path to take next as I was not normally trained in fashion. After much back and forth I decided to study Interior Design at RMIT university in Melbourne, Australia.

Once I graduated I moved straight to NYC with my husband Marcus. I began working for Homepolish pretty soon after we arrived and have been there since. I do a little private work on the side too. Below are some images of my own Columbus Circle Apartment that I recently completed, compared with some images from my clothing label.

Our Visit To Philip Johnson Glass House in New Canaan, CT

We had to try multiple times to get into a tour, but finally in May we were able to do a small private tour of Philip Johnson’s Grounds in New Canaan CT. It was so breathtakingly beautiful. His Glass House was every it as impressive as I had hoped. The underground art gallery was awe inspiring and built like a life size rollerdex with revolving walls filled with the likes of Frank Stella and Andy Warhol. We also got to see his library and walk through the acres of land. Here are some iPhone pictures I took!

TBT Palm Springs

For years I have been wanting to go to Palm Springs… With a love of mid century architecture and design, I’ve always thought of Palm Springs as a Mecca 😍😍😍

Last year I was lucky enough to go with my husband to Coachella. We stayed at The Ace Hotel, ate dinner at The Parker and did a driving architecture tour! Here are some of the snaps I collected.
